EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY:  PRIVATE 1:1 SESSIONS

What is Expressive Arts Therapy?

Expressive arts therapy is an arts-based approach to self-inquiry that engages and supports individuals through a process of creative expression helping them reconnect and trust their own inner resources.

In an expressive arts therapy session client (expert) and therapist (companion) may explore concerns, experiences, beliefs, patterns using an intermodal approach which may include visual art, sound, voice, journaling, breath, movement and play as catalysts for personal inquiry, discovery and growth.

The arts can potentially provide clarity about ourselves in the present moment, allowing us to notice how we feel within our body through certain processes. It is also a gentle way to explore with curiosity the possible changes we may wish to undertake in our lives.

  • No prior art making experience is necessary.
